: Today we had the future fellows come in and get the opportunity to experience the Greenhouse Fellowship space and what a day at the Greenhouse Fellowship is like. They initially walked in with feelings of shyness, discovery, uncertainty, cluelessness but most of all excitement.
We started our day with a seminar from Dr. Ruth Needleman. She led a presentation on democracy, a small city in Brazil that exemplified democratic views, and we learned throughout the struggles of citizens and their personal needs. Even though they had struggled they came together to better the lives of everybody in the community.
Afterwards we had lunch, chilled, and got a chance to mingle with old and new fellows. Later Kelvin Bride from TAG Inc came and gave a presentation on graphic design. With everyone’s help we created an innovative graphic design for the current and future fellows. As the day came to an end the new fellows became more comfortable and got a better understanding of what it means to be a fellow!
