Attention veterans!!! Due to last minute cancellations, we have a couple openings for this Saturday’s flight. This is open to WWII, Korean and Vietnam veterans able to make the flight on 5/9/26.

Veteran exemption status changed unfortunately
🇺🇸💳

Many SNAP participants who were previously exempted from work requirements must now work 20hrs/week and provide adequate documentation in order to continue receiving SNAP benefits. These individuals include:

• able-bodied adults without dependents aged 55-64
• able-bodied adults with dependents 14+ years old
• veterans
• people experiencing homelessness
• 18-24 year old aging out of foster care

If you no longer qualify for an exemption and you fail to meet work requirements/provide adequate documentation, you will only be eligible for SNAP benefits for 3 months in a 3 year period.

🚨🚨🚨 That means: If you have failed to meet requirements for March and April, May will the last month you are eligible to receive benefits through March 2029.

For the first time in 246 years, the Marine Corps has a Black four-star general. Lt. Gen. Michael E. Langley’s story is filled with hard work, hope, and a belief that change is possible. After more than three decades of service since being commissioned in 1985, his dedication has led him to an important moment. Now he will oversee 6,000 U.S. troops at U.S. Africa Command, helping meet challenges and making a real difference in how we show leadership around the world.

This milestone is not just a personal achievement, but a sign that progress is happening. The Marine Corps is taking steps toward more diversity and showing young people everywhere that everyone matters, no matter their background. Lt. Gen. Langley’s journey reminds us that with determination, perseverance, and heart, you can open new doors for yourself and for the next generation.
