Thank you to everyone who joined us for a productive meeting with the Metro West Council of Governments!

I appreciate all of the local leaders who took the time to join the conversation and share their perspectives, including Algonquin Village President Debby Sosine, Sleepy Hollow Village President Courtney Boe, East Dundee Village President Daniel Pearson, and Elgin Mayor David Kaptain.

On Monday, we said farewell to our summer interns!

It was a pleasure watching them learn and get involved in our community. From helping with office projects and attending community events to knocking on doors and speaking directly with constituents, they made a meaningful contribution to our office and district. They've went to 6 tours in or around our district and helped our office attend 27 community events.

Thank you for all your hard work, enthusiasm, and dedication this summer. We will miss having you around and wish you all the best in your next chapter!

I recently attended the Algonquin Area Chamber of Commerce Legislative Update. It was great to be part of the conversation, hear directly from members of our local business community, and discuss the issues that matter to our communities.

It was also wonderful to see colleagues and connect with community and business leaders. I always appreciate opportunities like this to listen, share ideas and stay engaged.

I was glad to join families and community members for a fun day of exploring the trucks and equipment that help keep our communities moving at the Algonquin Township Road District's Touch-A-Truck event. Events like this are a great way to bring neighbors, first responders, public works professionals, and local organizations together.

I also appreciate the effort to make the event welcoming and accessible by offering a Sensory Friendly Hour. Great event!

Our office was glad to participate in the D47 and D155 Back to School Resource Fair today at the Evangelical Free Church of Crystal Lake.

It was great to see so many churches and community organizations come together to provide students and families with school supplies, haircuts, dental exams, school physicals, mental health resources, and more.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this event possible and for supporting local students and families as they prepare for a new school year.
