It's official... our candidate for the 34th!!

I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to the DTC delegates from Salem, East Haddam, and East Hampton for their unanimous support and for the support of my family. I am deeply honored to be your candidate for the 34th district in the State House of Representatives. The heartfelt nomination speeches delivered by Tom O'Brien and Joelyn Leon were truly moving. I look forward to progressing with all of you, driven by a commitment to provide leadership that prioritizes the needs of our community.

EHDTC meeting tonight at 6:30 PM at The Grange Hall.

Please note: The 33rd district convention is at 6:00 PM at the Old Town Hall (next to the Grange) Parking will be scarce.

In addition: If anyone is available to help set up the convention (move benches, etc) please meet Sue K. at the Old Town Hall at 5:15.

Being a delegate to the Democratic State Convention was an interesting process.

Results:
Ned Lamont is the endorsed candidate, but Josh Elliot got the required 15% (he received 25%) so there WILL be a primary in August for Governor.

All the other candidates were unopposed, so they all received endorsement.

SB 397 reinforces those values by protecting our public spaces, strengthening civil rights, and ensuring transparency in how laws are enforced. Just as important, it helps safeguard Connecticut from federal overreach by keeping decisions about our safety and our rights in local hands. This bill puts our communities first and keeps the power where it belongs — with the people who call this place home.

The bill is rooted in the concept that no one is above the law, said Lt. Gov. Susan Bysiewicz. “Here in the Constitution State, the Constitution applies to everyone,” she said.
