East Hampton Historical Farm Museum A living history museum focusing on Bonac families who farmed the land and local waters during 1880s
(1)

In this restored farmhouse, East Hampton history during the 1880s-1930s comes alive. We are a unique living history museum where visitors can not only look at authentically furnished rooms but also can touch most of the objects on display.

Wow! Can't believe that it is September already! Three more weeks and summer is over for 2026! What a busy summer we had here at the East Hampton Historical Farm Museum! June we held our part of the nation's 250th Anniversary by celebrating Flag Day with Boy Scout Troop 298 and members of the VFW. We had 2 Craft Guilds with great raffle winners, Smokey Anderson won the Duck's Game package and Kelly Kiger won the Scratch Ticket/ Gift Card package. In July we had our Community Yard Sale which was great fun. And August we were busy every weekend it seemed. Between our Native Plant Sale, Spudfest and our Birds of the East End Workshop we were really on our toes! We also hosted our monthly Cracker Barrel(which will continue through the Fall) and did our weekly Kid's Craft from July through August). We had guests from Changing Tides Horse Rescue, ReWild Long Island, the East Hampton Boat Builders Society and the Sportsmans Alliance come. We are looking forward to Fall and what will come next. Please come visit us during our open hours and get a tour of our wonderful buildings, Tuesdays from 11am-1pm and Saturdays from 10am-4pm through December 12th 2026. We also host our monthly Cracker Barrel on the 3rd Wednesday of each month 5:30-7:30pm. September's is scheduled for the 16th. Everyone is welcome.

What a terrific day we had yesterday! Spudfest was a great success! We heard all around that it should become an annual event! Who knows? First and foremost, thank you to Adam Halsey for donating the beautiful Potato Grader that sparked the idea in our heads. The whole day sprouted from there. Thank you so much to our farmers, John Halsey, Steve Talmage and John Talmage who spent the whole day in the barn explaining to our guests about growing up as potato farmers and to all our wonderful volunteers that helped make the day happen. Thank you to all of our potato salad participants from the registrants to the judges, we had such fun. Congratulations to Terri Gaines for being the Judge's Choice and to Sandra Deboard Vorpahl for being the People's Choice.

We're in the "potato frame of mind". Bring it on SPUDFEST.
