On this day in 1952, summer reading made the front page of the East Hampton News! A lot has changed over the past 70+ years, but one thing remains the same: summers are better with books from the library.

Belltown Book Brunch meets every month for a lively chat about what we are all reading. Sometimes themes emerge in our discussion, like in May when we talked about books we've read with really interesting author notes like Atmosphere by Taylor Jenkins Reid and Kate Quinn's The Briar Club. Join us this month and see where our discussion leads! Drop in on Friday, June 19 at 11 a.m. in our cozy Large Print section.

Have you heard about our brand new Summer Reading Bingo yet?
One of the things we’re most excited about is the flexibility of the new format. Summer Reading is no longer tied to specific weeks, so participants can move at their own pace all summer long. Going on vacation? Busy schedule? No problem! You can pick right back up where you left off.
We hope this new system makes participation simpler and more fun! No more keeping track of multiple things or filling out 20–30 tickets at once trying to catch up.
We hope you're as excited as we are!

Lunch Bunch Book Club is a Middle School favorite, but our outgoing 8th graders get to enjoy one more summer of fun before they move on to High School! If you are entering grades 6-9, find the Lunch Bunch that's just for you! Bring your lunch and the book you are currently reading and we will eat lunch, play games, do crafts, and talk about books!
