📢 NO SHAVE NOVEMBER – SUPPORT THE CAUSE‼️

This month, members of the East Haven Police Department are putting down their razors and joining No Shave Connecticut in support of the Connecticut Cancer Foundation.

Every dollar raised helps provide financial assistance to local cancer patients and their families, and 100% of donations stay right here in Connecticut.

We invite our community to join us in spreading the word or donating if you’re able. Together, we can make a difference for those fighting the toughest battles of their lives.

Today, we proudly welcomed new beginnings and celebrated well-earned success within our ranks.

Please join us in congratulating Sergeant Raymond Wilson, who was officially sworn in following his recent promotion. Sergeant Wilson, who previously served our community as a Detective will be assigned to our Patrol Division, where his experience and leadership will continue to serve East Haven with distinction.

We also had the honor of swearing in two new entry-level officers, Andrew Newkirk and Alexya Vega, who will begin their training at the Milford Police Academy on November 7th.

We wish them both success as they embark on their law enforcement careers with the East Haven Police Department!

🎃 Halloween Safety Alert: Let’s Make This a Safe & Spooky Night! 🎃

With a warm and breezy Halloween night ahead and plenty of trick-or-treaters out and about, here are a few friendly reminders to help keep everyone safe:

👻 Be Visible: Opt for bright costumes or add reflective tape and carry a flashlight to help drivers see you.

🚶 Share Your Route: Let family or friends know where you’ll be trick-or-treating and stick to well-lit areas.

🚗 Stay Alert: Expect more pedestrians and cars out tonight. Cross streets carefully, use crosswalks, and keep to sidewalks whenever possible.

🎒 Check the Essentials: Make sure kids have a safe place for treats, and always inspect candy before eating.

👫 Stay Together: Trick-or-treat in groups and have a designated adult supervise younger children.

Let’s all work together to make Halloween in East Haven safe, fun, and memorable for everyone! 🎃🍬

‼️Be sure to keep an eye out for EHPD officers handing out candy‼️
