Coming up in June at the East Helena Library! WEEK ONE:
Storytime
Wednesdays at 10:30 am, June 3.
A half hour of stories and activities geared towards preschool ages. All ages welcome.

WEEK TWO:
Eggscavation Eggstravaganza Summer Kick-off
June 9, 2 – 4 pm at JFK Park Pavilion
Enjoy dino digs, snacks, and fun for a first ever Summer Library Program Kick-off in East Helena! Activities and snacks are geared towards school ages children. All ages welcome.

Storytime
June 10 at 10:30 am

Crafternoon
June 11 at 1 – 2:30 pm. Held every Thursday except during 4th of July week.
The library will provide Summer Program themed crafts and supplies for children to create and take home. For grade school ages and their adults. Adults, please assist with younger children.

Tween/Teen Manga and Anime Trivia
June 11, 4 – 5 pm. For ages 9 – 18.
Show off your Manga and Anime knowledge and win prizes. Cosplay encouraged. Japanese snacks provided.

WEEK THREE:
Storytime
June 17 at 10:30 am

Outdoor Lawn Games
June 17, 11:30 – 1 pm in Main Street Park
All ages are welcome to play lawn games in Main Street Park. Games provided by the library. Light snacks and water available.

Crafternoon
June 18 at 1 pm.

June 19 for Juneteenth

Reading Circle Book Discussion
Last Friday, 3 pm. June 26. Light snacks are provided. A light snack and water are provided. We are reading Forever My Girl by Heidi McLaughlin. At the beginning of the month, ten copies of the book available to share among the group.

The Lewis & Clark Library’s Helena Location is hiring two (2) Collections Assistants at 15 hours each. This position was previously titled Shelver and has been expanded to include additional materials handling and behind-the-scenes circulation support responsibilities.

Movie based on the novel of the same name, Forever My Girl. Rated PG and runs 108 minutes. Popcorn and soda provided.

Walk and Talk Book Club at Prickly Pear Park
May 6 at 8:30 am.
If inclement weather (pouring rain or blizzarding), please meet at Galaxy Roasting. Ten copies of Home Front by Kristin Hannah available May 1. Discussion questions will be divided into four parts / four walks.

Wednesdays and 1st and 3rd Thursdays of the month at 10:30 am
May 6 & 7. A half hour of stories and activities geared towards preschool ages. All ages welcome.

WEEK TWO:
Teen/Tween Switch Gaming
May 12, 4 – 6 pm
Play Switch with your friends. The library provides the games and Switches, a light dinner, and soda.

Drop off clean and gently used or new crafts for a free shopping event later in the week. Please do not donate recycling items like jars, lids, used crayons, and similar items.

MSU Extension’s Mobile Memory Café, led by Program Manager Lisa Brachwitz, will host a free Dementia education drop in event at the Lewis and Clark Library in East Helena April 30 from 3:30 - 5:30 pm to help community members better understand dementia and caregiving.
The program offers clear, practical information on topics including:
• What Dementia Is and How it Affects Individuals
• Early Warning Signs of Memory Loss
• How Dementia is Detected and Diagnosed
• What to Expect After a Diagnosis
• Strategies for Living Well with Dementia
