Great news! My daughter recently wrote, illustrated, and published her first children's book! I'm so proud of her and very excited to share it with all of you. The book is a short read, with lots of full-color illustrations for younger kids to enjoy (preschool - kindergarten and up).

To celebrate, I'm hosting a book reading at the Froshay Fine Art Studio on Saturday, April 16th! Attendance is free, but you must RSVP to (949) 551-1987 or [email protected] and let us know you will be there.

The author will be there to read the story aloud to the kids, answer questions, and sign books. Copies will be available for purchase at the event. Light refreshments will be provided, and there will be a Create-a-Critter coloring contest afterward for the kids!

ABOUT THE BOOK:

"Because Festerfarkle is the only Frogdragon in all of Fayrule, he is very lonely. Neither the frogs nor the dragons like him because he is different. Festerfarkle goes to sleep at night and dreams that he lives in a faraway land with other strange creatures that are just like him. One day, Festerfarkle awakens from a dream and smells something funny on the wind. Perhaps things are about to change in Fayrule once and for all..."

This book is fun and silly but it also has a really touching message. Kids that have ever felt different or left out will be able to relate to Festerfarkle. He is such a lovable character and the expressions that all of the different creatures make are priceless! There are so many great details to look at on each page. It is a highly recommended kids book to add to your collection!

What a wonderful note I received from one of my summer students who took classes from me while visiting California from overseas! This made my day when I opened it. It's always a pleasure to have foreign & out-of-state students go out of their way to take classes from me while they are here. It reads:
