Congratulations to Rep. Slotkin on her second term! And thank you to all of the students and volunteers that helped secure this victory!

Tuesday’s visit marked one of the congresswoman’s final stops of her four-day Get-Out-the-Vote initiative, in which she visited areas such as Lansing, Brighton and the coffee shops of downtown East Lansing to encourage residents to vote.

Bassam stands with Elissa Slotkin because ever since her election in 2018, she has prioritized expanding access to affordable healthcare because she knows firsthand how medical bills and prescription drug prices are crushing families and students, putting them into further debt. Representative Slotkin supports important bills that help the American people in many aspects ranging from protecting our elections to comprehensive COVID relief. And at the end of the day, Bassam supports the Congresswoman as she always makes it a point to connect with her constituents and listen to them.

Our first collaborative event with the Haley Stevens campaign was a resounding success. The Congresswoman kicked off the event with some inspiring words from Target and we made it through the entire 13,000 person list and then some!

Emma stands with Slotkin because she has never doubted Congresswoman Slotkin’s commitment to students. Representative Slotkin stood by MSU students throughout the Larry Nassar scandal, and has made a commitment to Title IX initiatives, which is something that is particularly important to her. Above all else, Emma respects Congresswoman Slotkin’s bipartisan efforts, and her commitment to prioritizing her constituents above her party.
