Experience the nation’s premier traveling exhibition of Black history right here at ELPL! Founded by educator and scholar Dr. Khalid el-Hakim, this mobile museum features over 15,000 original artifacts spanning the era of the trans-Atlantic slave trade to the vibrant culture of hiphop.

This program is generously sponsored by MSU Federal Credit Union and the Friends of the East Lansing Public Library.

We are now displaying a used Wii that was donated to the Friends. It has multiple pieces and some separate games that may bring back your memories from past decades. Most of the pieces have been tested and worked for us, except for one item. Check out the module in a cart at the front of the Friendshop.

This cart celebrates 250 years of United States independence. These books celebrate Presidents and their families, battles, frontier life, and significant events in the nation’s history.

It will be in display for 2+ weeks
