The Alliance for African Partnership mourns the passing of Professor Mame Samba Mbaye of Université Cheikh Anta Diop de Dakar.

As a founding member of the AAP community, Professor Mbaye made meaningful contributions to its establishment and growth, and to strengthening relationships between universities and the communities they serve.

We extend our deepest condolences to his family, colleagues, students, and the UCAD community. We are grateful for his contributions and lasting impact.

May his memory be a blessing.

🔬 Great research deserves to be understood.

How can researchers turn complex ideas into stories that connect with the people and communities they aim to serve?

At the University of Botswana, graduate students explored this question during a workshop led by Susan McFarlane-Alvarez, professor in MSU’s Department of Advertising and Public Relations, in partnership with the Alliance for African Partnership (AAP).

The session focused on using strategic communication to strengthen the reach and relevance of research.

After spending a fulfilling week in Botswana, I left with feelings you might experience after a visit with good friends, even family.
