Looking for a meaningful volunteer opportunity? Join us Wednesday, March 18 from Noon-3pm in the Art Studio. Helping Women Period is a local nonprofit that distributes bladder control products and disposable menstrual products to homeless women and girls in the Greater Lansing area. Sewers and non-sewers alike are welcome to help construct bags that will later be filled with products and distributed at over 100 local charities. Some sewing machines will be provided, but feel free to bring your own. We can always use extra ribbon, too (half-inch grosgrain ribbon works best for the bags). No need to sign up, just come and volunteer your time.
