📖 Our director Bianca went on Quad Cities Live to talk about the fundraising efforts for Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library in Rock Island County and why it's important for children in our community!

How to Help:
Online: Donations can be made directly on the Imagination Library Donation Platform, checking the option to designate funds to a local program partner and selecting “IL- Rock Island County.”
https://donate.imaginationlibrary.com/

By Mail: Checks made payable to Imagination Library of Rock Island County can be sent to P.O. Box 4723, Rock Island, IL 61201.

A donation of just $16 sponsors one child for an entire year of books.

The Rock Island Public Library Foundation has launched a fundraising campaign to raise $36,205 to bring Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library back to Rock Island County, providing free monthly books to nearly 8,500 children.

This week we celebrate The FRIENDS of the East Moline Public Library for all they do for the library!

👥 What do the FRIENDS do?
They discuss ways to raise money for the library and help decide on new programs and events. The FRIENDS support the library by providing funds for programming, special events, and purchasing new equipment and materials. They also volunteer at big events like Summer Reading Kickoff, Fall Fest, and other programs throughout the year.

📖 How can I join?
Stop at the Circulation Desk at the library to pick up a form, or you can download one from the library's website! You don’t have to volunteer your time or attend meetings to be a FRIEND! Some FRIENDS simply pay their annual dues, and that support makes a difference. Every FRIEND helps make great things happen at the library!
