Tonight, members of Norriton Fire Engine Company joined Jefferson Fire Company for a joint training hosted by Jefferson focusing on fire behavior and flow path.

Crews utilized a prop called the “Palmer’s Fire Behavior Dollhouse”, also simply known as a flow path dollhouse, to demonstrate how ventilation, door control, and changes in building openings can influence fire and smoke movement throughout a structure.

Hands-on demonstrations like this give firefighters a clear visual understanding of how our actions can impact interior conditions and reinforce the importance of coordinated fireground tactics.

Thank you Jefferson Fire Company No. 1 for hosting and for another great opportunity to train together.

The officers and members of the Norriton Fire Engine Company wish to extend our condolences to the families and friends of Officer Shane Seiber who was killed in the line of duty in Philadelphia last night.

We continue to pray for his fellow Philadelphia Police Officer who is in the hospital following yesterday’s attack.💙

🔥 Fire Safety Starts with Education! 🚒

Norriton Fire Engine Company and the East Norriton Township Fire Marshal’s Office would like to thank our local schools for welcoming us and giving us the opportunity to share important fire safety knowledge with students.

Teaching fire prevention, emergency preparedness, and what to do in the event of a fire helps build a safer community for everyone. We always enjoy spending time with our local students and answering their questions!

Thank you to our schools, teachers, and staff for helping us spread the message of fire safety! 🔥

September was another busy month for Norriton Fire Engine Company, with our members responding to 74 emergency calls throughout the community and surrounding areas.

🚗 10 Accidents
🔥 21 Building Fires
🚨 32 Fire Alarms
⚙️ 11 Other Emergencies

Of the 21 building fire responses, 14 were working fires, including 2 multiple-alarm incidents.

We thank our dedicated volunteers for their continued commitment and our community for its ongoing support. Interested in serving alongside us? Stop by and learn how you can become part of Station 61.

Proudly serving our community since 1917.

Tonight, Quint 61 is standing by at Trappe Fire Company’s station with a crew of four while their members participate in live-burn training.

Our crew will remain in quarters and available to handle any calls in Trappe’s coverage area until approximately 10:00 PM.

Providing coverage for neighboring departments during training helps ensure their members can focus on sharpening their skills while emergency response coverage remains in place.

Stay safe and train hard! 🚒🔥

Thank you to Rep. Matt Bradford for his help in securing the State grant for the purchase of our new ladder truck with an anticipated delivery date in 2029.

Good news! Our community was awarded $1.1 million in state funding to support important local projects:

🚒 East Norriton Township: $700,000 for a tower ladder fire truck
❤️ Variety - the Children's Charity of the Delaware Valley: $350,000 for improvements to their All-Abilities Community Gym in Worcester Township
🔌 West Norriton Township: $50,000 toward the installation of electric vehicle (EV) charging stations at the Jeffersonville Golf Club

I’m grateful that these projects are making our community a better place and I’m pleased that the Shapiro Administration is investing in important projects here in Montgomery County that will keep us safe, provide recreational access to people with disabilities and protect our environment.
