๐ ICYMI! What a night in East Orange this past Tuesday at the 32nd Annual Paul Robeson Football Classic, an all-star game featuring the best senior football players from the East and West regions of New Jersey.
Our East All-Stars handled business, winning 18-3 from start to finish!
Mayor Ted R. Green helped kick off the night with the ceremonial coin toss alongside Superintendent Dr. Christopher Irving. When the coin landed on the blue side, it felt like a sign of what was to come.
The stadium was packed with families, alumni, coaches, community leaders, and football fans from across the region, all coming together to celebrate some of New Jerseyโs top student-athletes.
Shoutout to our East representatives:
- Robert Minter
- Abdoul Kafando
- Karl Clarke
- Quadir Parrish
This win belongs to every player who puts in the work, every coach who poured into them, and every supporter who came out and showed love.
The night was also marked by a special honor for legendary East Orange football coach Ronly London, who was inducted into the Essex County High School Football Coaches Hall of Fame. His legacy continues to impact generations on and off the field.
We were also joined by State Senator Benjie E. Wimberly and Second Ward Councilman Christopher Awe, along with city leaders and residents, making it a true community celebration.
This is East Orange.
