Almost all movements started with women & mothers who saw an injustice or problem and resolved to make change.
It is our time to build the movement in Essex County.
Would you want to be the change?

S-2346 — the bill to let families keep insurance coverage for their disabled children after age 26 — just cleared committee in Trenton. 🎉 This is a huge step forward for families terrified of losing coverage when their child turns 26.
You did this.🌟 The NCSA-NJ mothers — and others — who keep showing up in Trenton, again and again, moved this bill. Your stories, your persistence, and your refusal to give up pushed S-2346 forward. 💪
If you’re not already part of NCSA-NJ, now is the time. Membership is free. Join us, come to Trenton, and stand with the parents and allies fighting for a broad legislative agenda to protect our sons and daughters with severe autism and related disabilities. 💙
Here are Chairman Schnall’s full remarks from today’s vote:
“I just want to reiterate again to the mothers that made the trip to be here today. I cannot thank you enough. And you should have strength to continue this holy work. Unfortunately, the room is empty now, but as you mentioned, there are thousands of people at home who probably don’t even know you are here. On behalf of those who are never going to say thank you to you, thank you for the work you’re doing. I can’t control how far this motion is going to go, but at least in this committee, it’s going to get through. Yes.”
