🚨 Motor Vehicle Collision with Overturn 🚨

This morning, the Hagerman Fire Department responded to a motor vehicle collision involving an overturned vehicle with one occupant ejected.

Rescue 4 and Squad 5 responded to the scene, where crews worked to secure the area and ensure scene safety.

South Country Ambulance responded and transported the patients for further medical evaluation and treatment.

Seatbelts save lives. Buckling up can make all the difference in a serious collision.

🪢 Dedication Beyond the Call! 🚒

Last week, several members of the Hagerman Fire Department dedicated five days to specialized rope rescue training, beginning Wednesday evening and wrapping up Sunday.

This training required more than just showing up. Our members took time away from their jobs, families, and personal commitments to spend full days Thursday and Friday, along with their weekend, learning new techniques, improving their skills, and becoming better prepared to respond when called upon.

We would like to extend a huge thank-you to RNR Rescue for providing five days of exceptional training. Their instructors’ knowledge, experience, and professionalism made this a valuable experience for everyone involved.

We couldn’t be prouder of the members who participated. Their dedication to continuing their education and improving their abilities speaks volumes about the type of volunteers we have here at Hagerman.

Being a volunteer firefighter doesn’t end when the alarm stops ringing. It’s the countless hours spent training, learning, and preparing that make all the difference.

Thank you to our members and their families for the time and sacrifices that make opportunities like this possible! 🚒💪

⚡️Electrical Fire Response🔥

Hagerman Fire Department responded to a reported electrical service burning on the side of a residence.

Upon arrival, members found an active electrical issue involving the exterior service to the home. A precautionary hoseline was stretched while truck crews opened up and checked the residence for any extension of fire.

Crews secured the area and remained on scene until the electrical hazard was addressed.

Thankfully, the incident was contained to the electrical service with no reported injuries.

⚠️ If you notice sparking, arcing, smoke, or a burning smell coming from your electrical service, stay clear and call 911.

🔥 House Fire Response 🔥

This afternoon, the Hagerman Fire Department was activated for a reported house fire. Upon arrival, members were met with heavy fire conditions and immediately went to work.

With daytime staffing levels often limited, the assistance of our neighboring departments is imperative in ensuring enough personnel and resources are available when emergencies like this occur. Thanks to that teamwork, crews were able to bring the fire under control and extinguish the blaze.

Fortunately, no one was home at the time of the fire.

We would like to thank all of our mutual aid departments who responded and assisted our members. Your continued support, teamwork, and willingness to answer the call alongside us are greatly appreciated. 🚒🤝

Want to make a difference in your community? Join the Hagerman Fire Department. No experience is necessary, and training is provided. Send us a DM on Facebook or Instagram to learn more about becoming a member. 🚨🔥
