Next weekend, April 8th and 9th is going to be the kick off of Richland Farms neighborhood revitalization. The residents, along with Southside Office of Concern and LISC will begin their work in that neighborhood. We are really looking forward to what great things will happen in that area. If you have friends or family in that neighborhood, it will be a great opportunity to work in their yard. There will be many volunteers in the neighborhood to assist the residents. It should be a great event and weekend!

All runners!!! Please consider supporting "Moms Who Care", by joining the 5k run or 1 mile walk this Saturday in the Levee District. It's only $25.00, and all proceeds go directly to help the extremely worthy organization in our area. We've raised quite a bit of money over the past couple years, and are trying to do the same this year. Registration is at 7am, and the race begins at 8.
Please feel free to reply with any questions.
If you aren't able to join us, but would like to donate, we would be happy to accept any amount.

Hello everyone!!
The East Peoria Human Relations Commission is sponsoring a 5K on September 27th, at 8am in The Levy District in East Peoria.
All proceeds will go to support Moms Who Care. This is an organization at the East Peoria Community High School that provides items to students which they may not usually be able to purchase.

We recently had a very productive Human Relations Committee meeting. During the meeting; many topics like poverty, bullying, and race relations were discussed. This attachment was brought forward, and shows a great service for assistance in our community. If you, or anyone you know is struggling, and going without essential services, please call 2-1-1 for assistance.
The East Peoria Human Relations Commission is also here to help in anyway we can. Please feel free to contact us with any questions, concerns, or suggestions. Our next meeting is May 27th, at 10:00am. We will discuss many topics, and will address any issues you may have.

Today is a excellent opportunity for us all to think about one of the greatest Americans in our history. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr would be happy with our nation's accomplishments, but would remind us we have farther to travel to assure we have equal opportunity for all.
