The City of East Point Water Resources Department will conduct fire hydrant flushing and inspections on Monday, August 31, 2026, from 4:30 PM–8:30 PM in designated areas of Wards A and C. Residents may experience temporary water discoloration, low water pressure, or cloudy water due to air in the lines. If discoloration occurs, run cold water for several minutes until it clears.

Sewer Main Lining work will be taking place on Sylvan Road (Ward B)

📆 August 31 – September 4
🕖 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM daily

Please expect a one‑lane closure and a traffic flagger assisting vehicles in the area.

We kindly ask everyone to use caution, follow posted signs, and allow extra time when traveling through the work zone.

We are currently experiencing a power outage; crews have been notified and are currently enroute to assess the situation.

Outage Start Time: 2:41pm.

The following areas are affected: Neely Ave, Church St, Broad Ave, Headland Ave, W Forrest Ave, Main St, E Point St, Dorsey Ave, Spring St, Semmes St, Lumpkin St. 

Restoration time will be updated after crews' complete assessment.

Estimated Number of customers affected and substation:  364
