UGA Extension is the educational outreach arm of the University of Georgia Colleges of Agriculture, Environmental Science (CAES) and the College of Family and Consumer Sciences (FACS). UGA Extension has been serving the citizens of Georgia for over 100 years through county offices. County agents deliver programming to adults and youth to become healthier, more productive, financially independent,

Did you know that Fulton County Extension has a soil sample drop-off location in Roswell?! 🪱

If our Sandy Springs office is a little too far for you to go, you’re in luck! You can now drop off samples at the Georgia Farm Bureau North Fulton office.

Location Details:

🌱 Open M-F, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
🌱 Please call 770-643-6787 to check their hours.

*Note that this is a drop-box for soil samples only. No Extension personnel are available at this location to provide consultation, and no other sample types are accepted at this location.

Thank you to FixIt Ace Hardware in Roswell for facilitating a donation of raised bed mix from Coast of Maine Organic Products! They even helped me load it into my truck!

Our North Fulton Community Garden was a lucky recipient of Coast of Maine's Growing Good Program - a partnership with local garden retailers to provide qualifying schools and nonprofits with organic soil. This raised bed mix will be put to good use as we turn over plots for fall crops. 🥕

Get ready to Cook Up Solutions at this year’s Nacho Average Engineering Challenge!

Middle schoolers in 6th–8th grade are invited to put their creativity and problem-solving skills to the test through hands-on engineering challenges focused on real-world food problems. Participants will explore the engineering design process while building teamwork, critical thinking, and STEM skills through interactive workshops, exhibits, and more!
