Ashley Page, a certified end-of-life pet doula, is the owner of Willow Bridge Crossings, providing in-home services and virtual grief support for those caring for an aging and/or chronically ill pet. Page created her organization in 2025 after 13 years of working with animals professionally, also feeling motivated to help other pet owners after the loss of her soul dog, Jackson.

"My role is to help families feel supported emotionally, practically and compassionately," she said. "That support can look very different depending on the family's needs. Some people reach out because they need help understanding quality of life changes, while others are preparing for euthanasia, struggling with anticipatory grief or simply feeling overwhelmed caring for an aging pet."

If you have been following our posts you will see that East Prospect Borough has a 250th Celebration planned on July 3rd. The Girl Scouts Troop 20160 will also be there doing a fundraiser. For $15 you can tie-dye a shirt and get a drink and snack.

On Friday July 3rd East Prospect Borough will be hosting a 250th celebration. At the Zion United Methodist Church parking lot there will be G's Concession and free ice pops. At the Borough Hall there will be activities for everyone. Come see Crawford's Reptile Encounters, do a craft, learn about Revolutionary Heroes etc. Fireworks will begin around 9PM behind the ambulance club.

The Borough put together a 250th Committee whose members have been working to put together a special event. Join us on July 3rd beginning at 5PM. There will be G's Concession at the church parking lot, and additional events at the Borough hall.

I did not bring enough copies with me today! More copies will be available next week.

Also, please note prizes are donation based. If you know of anyone who would like to donate please have them reach out. We are not asking for any minimums. Just whatever people want to contribute.

Because of the interest prizes will have to be figured out as we go. But my big picture idea was that each participant got something. A $5 gift card for ice cream or something. Then we would move up from there. With more boxes you complete a drawing for the big prizes.

Today we had local author Laura Pappas come out and read her book about bringing home Luna. Luna is boarded at Shear Heaven Alpaca Farm. If you enjoyed visiting with Casper and Luna today be sure to follow Alpaca Stories. For more fun alpaca events be sure to follow Shear Heaven Alpaca Farm. Laura has authored several books. And she even told me a secret... she is working on a book for middle aged kids! Laura is passionate about learning and teaching. And really enjoyed having the opportunity to share her book, and her knowledge today.

With each new story time I am learning new things. Including things about myself. I realize I love teaching kids how to read. I love connecting people with books. I also love connecting people with other people. I really feel that Story Time at the Park has value for the community. And the support the community brings is incredible! I have been so honored to become friends with M. J. McCluskey, Author! And today I got to introduce MJ to my sister, Ashley, who owns Allegiant Dog Walking, LLC and Willow Bridge Crossings. I'll be honest, I have big dreams of a collaboration between those two 😆. Ashley is such a great Story Teller, and I love MJ's books, and how readable they are. But that is a post for another time.

Today we had even more new faces than we had last week. But the kids and the parents all got along! There were no fights. Everyone listened to the ground rules for the alpacas. They played together on the playground, and chatted with people in line. It was an amazing turn out, over 50 KIDS!!!
