The East Ridge City Library is located in the City Hall building, with entrances inside City Hall and on the outside left of City Hall. Computers with internet access are available for public use. It is free for library members. For non-members there is a $1.00 charge per session. Printing charges are 20 cents per page for black and white and 50 cents per page for color. How to Get a Library Card: There is no charge for a library card for residents of East Ridge. Simply bring in a valid driver's license with your East Ridge zip code of 37412 on it OR a picture I.D. and 2 forms of proof of residence (current utility bills that tie you to that 37412 address, a lease or deed to the property). Non-residents are welcome to purchase a lifetime membership for a one time fee of $20. Circulation Policies: Two books the first time. Then six books may be checked out per card. Loan period is 2 weeks. Books may be renewed in person, online or by phone one time (provided book is not on reserve). Fines and Charges: Overdue fine is 10 cents per day per item (must be paid before checking out any new item or using the computers). If you lose or damage an item, full retail price must be paid before you check out any new item or use the computer. If the item is returned in acceptable condition, the cost of the item will be refunded. Reserving a Book or CD: If the library does not have a particular item on the shelves, you can request it by adding it to the Reserve List at the front window, put a hold on it online, or call the Library. You will be notified by email or phone call when the item is available. Items may be returned on or before the due date inside at the desk or you may put them in the book drop when we are closed. The book drop is located outside by the entrance door. Preschool Story Time: Tuesdays at 10:30 AM. Join us for stories, crafts, and fun. Registration is not required.
