Storm Relief Available for Monroe County Homeowners

Homeowners whose primary residences were damaged by storms between July 3 and July 6, 2026, may qualify for up to $1,000 in housing-related assistance. Thank you to the Pocono Mountains Association of REALTORS for facilitating.

Applications will be accepted through September 16, 2026. Funding is limited and will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis, so eligible residents are encouraged to apply promptly.

🚨Gap View Dr/River Rd Bridge Update 🚨

PennDOT has informed us that they will be setting barriers on the bridge next week. They anticipate opening the bridge one-way only. You will be able to turn onto Gap View Dr from SR 209 and go to River Rd. You will not be able to turn onto Gap View Dr from River Rd and reach SR 209.

As we receive additional information, we will post accordingly.

📢 Disaster assistance is available for Monroe County small businesses and private nonprofits affected by the severe storms on July 4.

The U.S. Small Business Administration is offering low-interest Economic Injury Disaster Loans of up to $2 million. Physical property damage is not required to qualify.

Loan funds may be used for payroll, fixed debts, accounts payable, working capital, and other operating expenses. Payments are deferred for 12 months following the first loan disbursement.

SBA representatives are available to answer questions and assist with applications at:

Schoonover Municipal Building (Middle Smithfield Township)
147 Municipal Drive, East Stroudsburg

Hours through August 21:
Monday–Friday: 8 a.m.–5 p.m.
Saturday: 10 a.m.–2 p.m.

The center closes permanently Friday, August 21, at 4 p.m. It will close at 4:40 p.m. on Wednesday, August 19. Walk-ins are welcome, and appointments may be scheduled in advance.

Applications are due April 30, 2027.
