Onondaga County Department of Transportation The official page of Onondaga County Department of Transportation. For the department’s purposes, we have divided the county into four sections.

The Onondaga County Department of Transportation provides the traveling public with a safe, convenient and efficient network of highways and bridges. Each section has a shop and the equipment and employees to service its roads. Each section is also capable of performing equipment maintenance. One section is equipped to perform major repairs on the department’s equipment. In addition, the department has administrative and engineering offices centrally located in the Civic Center.

The teen had been driving recklessly and crashed into a car, troopers said. The father had previously been told his son can't ride his dirt bike on area roads, they said.

🚧 TRAFFIC ALERT: Interstate 81 will be reduced to one lane, weekdays, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., beginning Monday, August 3, through Tuesday, August 25, at the following locations in the City of Syracuse for bridge work:

🔶 Interstate 81 northbound between the Interstate 690 on-ramp and Exit 23 (Park Street/Hiawatha Blvd).

🔶 Interstate 81 southbound between Exit 5B-5A-4B (Hiawatha Blvd/Destiny USA/Bear St) and Exit 20 (Franklin St/West St).
