🏥 Eyes Wide Open to New Possibilities: Health Careers Tour Aurora Medical Center! 🩺✨

In May, our Health Careers students took an incredible, behind-the-scenes trip to the Aurora Medical Center in Burlington to see the world of healthcare in real life! 🛡️💼

The hospital’s leadership team kicked off the day with an insightful overview of the many different career pathways available within a medical facility. From there, our students got an exclusive, top-to-bottom tour of the building, making stops in:

🧼 Sterile Processing

🥼 The Operating Room (OR) & Pre-/Post-Op Areas

🚨 The Emergency Room (ER), where they learned about respiratory therapy and medical laboratory science.

🏗️ From the Drafting Table to the 15th Floor: ETHS Students Take on Madison! 🚧🔨
In May, our Construction class and A.C.E. (Architecture, Construction, and Engineering) Pathway students headed to Madison for an incredible behind-the-scenes look at the commercial construction industry! 🛡️🚌

Our students spent the day touring two premier industry partners, exploring everything from the office planning stages to a massive active job site.

🏢 Stop 1: Joe Daniels Construction
The day kicked off at the Joe Daniels Construction headquarters. Students met with the Senior Project Manager, Estimator, and HR team to dive into the business side of the trade. They gained valuable insights into project bidding, design, architecture, custom cabinet making, and the immense planning required to bring a project from concept to completion.

🏙️ Stop 2: J.H. Findorff & Son Inc. (The OLIV Madison Site)
Next, students headed downtown to Findorff’s OLIV Madison site—a 15-story luxury apartment complex currently under construction.

🏊‍♂️ Rooftop Views: Students toured the site from top to bottom, including a trip up to the 15th floor to watch a rooftop pool being poured!

🛠️ The Trade in Action: Walking down through the building, they got a close-up look at rough carpentry, finishing work, and cabinet installation.

🗣️ Career Connections: Students spoke directly with project managers and industrial engineers about day-to-day responsibilities and career pathways.

A massive thank you to our Construction teacher, Mr. Schroepfer, for organizing this outstanding experience.

Findorff shared that this was the first-ever school tour they have hosted, making our East Troy students true trailblazers in gaining this level of real-world exposure!

✍️ Collegiate Bound: Celebrating the ETHS Class of 2026 Student-Athletes! 🎓🏆
We are celebrating an incredible milestone at East Troy High School! Six outstanding student-athletes officially signed their commitments to continue their academic and athletic careers at the collegiate level. They join two previously committed seniors to bring our ETHS Collegiate Athlete Class of 2026 to an impressive total of eight student-athletes! 🛡️✨

Each athlete's dedication, perseverance, and commitment to excellence—both in the classroom and in competition—reflect years of hard work, sacrifice, and passion. This major achievement is also a testament to the parents, families, and coaches who have supported and encouraged them every step of the way.

🌟 Now Enrolling 3-Year-Old Peer Models! 🌟
Little Prairie Primary is welcoming new peer models to join our 3-Year-Old Playgroup—a fun, language-rich environment where children learn, play, and grow together.

In this FREE early learning program, children will:
✨ Enjoy art, free play, story time, and snack
✨ Build communication, motor, and early learning skills
✨ Develop social-emotional skills and positive self-concepts
✨ Learn acceptance and cooperation alongside diverse peers

Playgroups are led by a dual-certified teacher with support from speech, occupational, and physical therapy staff. Sessions will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12pm-2pm during the 26-27 school year.

Are you ready to spark a love for learning? Registration for the East Troy Community School District’s 4K program for the Fall 2026 school year is officially OPEN NOW! 🛡️🏫

Our 4K program provides a safe, nurturing, and play-based environment designed to help your little learner grow socially, emotionally, and academically. Guided by our dedicated, expert staff, your child will build the foundational skills they need for a lifetime of success.

Age Requirement:
Students must be 4 years old by September 1st, 2026.

Schedule:
Classes run Monday through Friday.

2nd Graders Tour Prairie View! 🦅✨
Big transitions are ahead, and our 2nd graders from Little Prairie took an exciting step toward their future! 🛡️🎒

The students visited Prairie View Elementary for a special sneak peek into what life will look like when they become 3rd graders next year. To help promote a strong sense of community and ease those end-of-year jitters, our future 3rd graders got to meet some of the PV teaching staff and spent time interacting with Principal Mark Weerts!

Getting to explore the hallways, see the classrooms, and connect with familiar faces ensures our students feel welcomed, confident, and excited to take flight at Prairie View this fall.
