Just before 9:00pm on August 25, 2026, East Wenatchee Police Officers responded to the 7-11 store, at 87 9th St NE, following a report for a weapons violation. The reporting party, and victim, advised they had been confronted at the entrance of the store and threatened with a knife 15-20 minutes prior to officers arriving. The victim was able to follow the suspect’s vehicle back to their residence a short distance from the store.
With the suspects location known, officers presented the victim with a photo line-up resulting in the positive identification of the 65-year-old, male suspect.
