Let’s give a big congratulations to Allison Barton, a proud graduate of Okanogan High School Class of 2025, for officially joining the U.S. Army! 🇺🇸

Allison secured 31B Military Police 🚓, stepping into a career focused on law enforcement, security, and protecting others. She was able to pick her exact job AND her first duty station in her contract, locking in El Paso, Texas 🌵, home of Fort Bliss and a place full of opportunity and new experiences.

Let’s give it up for .drew , a proud member of Omak High School Class of 2026, for officially joining the U.S. Army! 🇺🇸

Andrew secured 91B Wheeled Vehicle Mechanic 🔧🚛 , a hands-on career where he’ll be trained in a job he actually wants, gaining real-world skills and certifications right out of high school.

Even better, he was able to lock in his job AND his duty station in his contract, choosing JBLM, Washington, bringing him right back home while still building his future.

This is just the first step for Andrew. He’s setting himself up with:

✅ $4,500 a year in Tuition Assistance while serving
✅ 4 years of college paid for with the GI Bill after
✅ Career experience + certifications from day one

Andrew isn’t just joining, he’s using this as a stepping stone to something bigger, and he’s already set up for success straight out of high school.

Looking back on my time in Wenatchee with nothing but gratitude.

To the incredible team I served with, the amazing community, and every Future Soldier and Soldier I’ve had the honor to work with, thank you. It’s been a privilege helping launch so many careers, and I’m proud of each and every one of you.

That said, the journey continues, I’ll be living in Guam now! 🌴☀️

So yes, there’s a bit of a time difference 😅, but knowing me, I’ll still probably respond if you ever reach out (even if it’s 3 AM island time).

🎉 Future Soldier Spotlight: Christopher Pio! 🎉

Help us congratulate Christopher Pio, a proud member of Bridgeport High School’s Class of 2026, on officially joining the U.S. Army! 🇺🇸

Christopher made the most of his enlistment by securing Option 19, giving him the power to hand-pick his first duty station, and he’s headed to Fort Campbell, KY, home of the 🦅 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) 🪖 and just 45 minutes from Nashville, aka Country Music City 🎶🌆

Coming from a small town, Christopher said it best:

“I chose to join the Army because I wanted to go out and see what else is out there.”

Now he’s headed to a base with a population nearly 100x larger than his hometown and surrounded by opportunity, adventure, and a vibrant community. From advanced training to nightlife and concerts in Nashville, Christopher’s future is wide open.

Oh, and let’s not forget the $20,000 bonus 💰 he earned for stepping up early and making a bold move toward his goals.

Let’s give a huge shout-out to Brewster’s own, Francisco Ornelas, who is currently away at training after enlisting in the U.S. Army!

Before he left, he told us he joined because he wanted “something more adventurous... something that was different and could help me develop my character and skills.” He’s officially on that path now.

But here’s the cool part: Francisco is a certified barber. 💈 He’s taking a real-world skill with him, ready to start a side hustle and keep his fellow Soldiers looking sharp once he gets to his new post.

It’s all part of his bigger goal to one day own his own business. His time in the Army is the perfect launchpad, setting him up with the discipline, character, and access to powerful resources like the VA Business loan. This VA-backed program helps veterans secure funding for their business by reducing risk for lenders.

He’s focused on training right now, but let’s show him some support for when he sees this.

Let’s give a huge shout-out to Bridgeport’s own, Flor, from the Class of 2025, who is making a powerful move by enlisting in the U.S. Army!

She’s taking on the essential role of a 91B Wheeled Vehicle Mechanic, and is already set up for major success:

✅ Starting with the advanced rank of E-3/PFC, which means more pay and responsibility from day one! 💰
✅ Using Option 19 to lock in her first duty station at JBLM. She’s coming home to Washington! 🌲🇺🇸

When asked why she joined, Flor’s reason was incredibly moving. She shared that this is her way to “honor my parents and give back to them a little of what they have done for me... to serve the country that they chose as their new home.”

She also spoke about her own journey, becoming an independent woman and building a career that will create a better future for herself and her family.

Let’s give a huge shout-out to Jared, who just officially enlisted in the U.S. Army! He’s taking on the incredible and vital role of a 68W Combat Medic. ⚕️🇺🇸

This isn’t just a job; it’s a direct path to a professional medical career. During his advanced training, Jared will:

✅ Earn his National EMT Certification, a professional credential he’ll have for life.
✅ Gain invaluable hands-on experience in trauma and emergency care.

🚨 A huge round of applause for one of Omak’s own, Pedro Aguilar! 🚨

We are incredibly proud to announce that Pedro Aguilar, a standout senior from the Omak High School Class of 2026, is taking a remarkable step by enlisting in the U.S. Army. He has chosen a path of immense skill and service as a future Radiology Specialist (68P)! 🏥

A lot of people think the Army is only about “boots on the ground,” but Pedro’s career choice powerfully illustrates the huge range of opportunities available. He is proof that service comes in many forms, and we are thrilled to see him pursue a high-tech medical career.

Here’s a look at the incredible journey that awaits a 68P:

1️⃣ Basic Combat Training (10 Weeks): Building the strength and discipline that are the foundation of every Soldier.

2️⃣ Advanced Individual Training (AIT): Up to 46 weeks at Fort Sam Houston, TX, where he will master operating sophisticated X-ray equipment and providing expert patient care.

3️⃣ Career & Education: This path isn’t just a job; it’s a launchpad. It leads to professional certifications and provides valuable college credits toward a degree in Health Science.

A huge congratulations to PFC Angela Arevalo for conquering Phase 1 of her training as a 68C, the Army’s Practical Nursing Specialist! She’s now heading to JBLM (Tacoma, WA) for Phase 2, which includes 800 hours of tough, hands-on clinical rotations in a variety of specialties.
PFC Arevalo is on a direct and demanding path. The 68C program is unique because the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-PN) is a required, final step of the course.

Soldiers take the exam while still in the program to earn their certification.
Upon successfully passing the NCLEX and graduating, PFC Arevalo will be a fully certified Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), ready to provide expert care to Soldiers and their families across the Military Health System.

PFC Arevalo shared that while it’s been a struggle, it’s important to “take things one day at a time,” knowing it will all be worth it in the end. Your perseverance is inspiring! Keep pushing forward.

🚨 Future Soldier Alert: Harvey Ryder 🚨

Let’s give it up for Harvey Ryder, a senior at Okanogan High School, Class of 2026, who made the decision to join the U.S. Army, and he did it the right way. 🇺🇸

Harvey always had interest in the military, but before jumping in, he took time to do his research, looking into every branch to find what was truly the best fit for his future. In the end, he chose the U.S. Army because we did exactly what we promised from day one:
👉 “We’re going to get you that #1 job.”

And we delivered. Harvey locked in 68P – Radiology Specialist (X-Ray Tech)—a hard-to-get medical job that comes with 13 months of training and ends with national certification as an X-Ray Technician. That’s a two-year college program he’s getting completely free, PLUS hands-on experience doing the job in uniform.

💥 Even better? Harvey already earned his Associate’s Degree from WVC, so he’ll enlist as an E3/PFC, with the goal of hitting E4/SPC during training, meaning faster pay raises and career growth right out the gate.
