Twenty-five years later, we continue to remember the lives that were lost, the families who were forever changed, and the extraordinary courage of the first responders and ordinary citizens who answered the call in a time of unimaginable tragedy.
Our memorial ceremony will include a special commemorative video honoring those we lost and remembering the events of that day, followed by a candlelight ceremony.
We invite residents, families, friends, first responders, veterans, and members of our community to join us as we pause together to honor the lives and legacy of September 11th.

The Village of East Williston is aware of the motor vehicle accident that occurred late this afternoon in which a vehicle left the roadway and struck North Side School.
The East Williston Fire Department, alongwith our public safety partners, responded quickly to the scene. We are grateful fortheir swift and professional response.
The incident remains under investigation bythe appropriate authorities. We ask the public to avoid speculation and allow first responders and investigators to complete their work.

Due to a forecast of heavy rain, strong winds, and thunderstorms from July 5 through July 7, 2026, county officials expect conditions that could include:
* Flash flooding of roads and neighborhoods
* Flooded basements
* Fallen trees and power lines
* Road closures and travel disruptions
* Widespread power outages
* Damage to public and private property.
Nassau County Bruce Blakeman has issued a State of Emergency.

Please secure all outdoor furniture and any loose items on your property. Strong winds can turn unsecured objects into dangerous projectiles and cause property damage or injury.
