We are two weeks into our Summer Enrichment Program! This program is in its third consecutive year thanks to a highly competitive grant (totaling $237,419 this year) through our ongoing partnership with the Hartford Choice Program, which makes this funding possible. We are thankful to be able to offer this valuable program at absolutely no cost to participating families!

Our amazing K-4 students have been hard at work stretching both their minds and their imaginations. From morning academics to afternoon adventures, here is a look at what our kids have been up to:

Through our Summer Impact Literacy and Illustrative Mathematics enrichment programs, students are sharpening their core academic skills so they are perfectly aligned and ready for the upcoming school year.

Classroom learning is going hand-in-hand with our brand-new, completely device-free LEGO Science curriculum! Our elementary students are diving into fundamental engineering by building real, moving mechanisms.

This incredible, full-day program supports the whole child. After a morning of science, technology, engineering, math, and language arts at Broad Brook Elementary School, students travel by bus to the East Windsor Reservoir for an afternoon of fun recreational activities hosted by the East Windsor Parks and Recreation!

We look forward to the rest of this impactful summer of learning, exploration, and enrichment.

Last week, our graduating seniors took a trip down memory lane for our annual Grad Walk! The Class of 2026 marched through the hallways of East Windsor Middle School and Broad Brook Elementary School, wearing their caps and gowns while being cheered on by teachers and younger students.

The walk concluded with a truly special moment: our seniors celebrating our amazing kindergartners, who have officially learned how to read and are moving on to the first grade! Watching the soon-to-be grads high-five the future Class of 2038 was the perfect reminder of how far our students can go.

We are incredibly proud of everything all of our students have accomplished this school year.

Today is officially the LAST DAY OF SCHOOL! We want to wish all of our students, staff, and families a fun, happy, healthy, and well-deserved summer break. Relax, stay safe, and make some wonderful memories!

Congratulations to East Windsor Public Schools Paraprofessional of the Year Cecilia Rosa!

Cecilia is a dedicated STRIVE paraprofessional working with our Pre-K students. Present for the announcement this morning were BBES Principal Laura Foxx, Assistant Principal Matt Ryan, Superintendent Dr. Patrick Tudryn, Assistant Superintendent Darryl Rouillard, Special Education Director Deirdre Osypuk, and Special Education Supervisor Emily Benedetto. Cecilia’s mom and her nephews (who are also BBES students!) were also there to witness this exciting announcement!

Cecilia was nominated for being the ultimate team player, bringing endless patience, and keeping her students' best interests at the heart of everything she does. As her nomination states: "She takes joy in engaging and connecting with ALL students... She is passionate about her students, the school climate and culture."

Thank you, Cecilia, for everything you do for our youngest learners and our school community!

We want to recognize East Windsor High School twins Elizabeth and Tommy Romel, who capped off their high school careers by finishing #1 and #2 in their graduating class! Their hard work, paired with the encouragement of their family and peers, is a beautiful reflection of what our students can achieve.

Elizabeth and Tommy are shining examples of the East Windsor Public Schools Portrait of the Graduate. This framework is our promise to parents and our commitment to the community that every single one of our students will leave our schools fully ready for college, career, and life.

We remain profoundly grateful to the East Windsor community. Thank you for your continued engagement, your support of our educators, and your dedication to providing a bright future for our young people.

Due to the forecasted high temperatures and the fact that tomorrow will be the second consecutive day of excessive heat, all East Windsor Public Schools will operate on an early dismissal schedule tomorrow, June 12.
