Rooted in the 42 year history of serving New Jersey residents living with epilepsy, developmental disabilities and chronic illness, the Epilepsy Foundation of New Jersey introduced The Family Resource Network in September 2004. The Family Resource Network is a comprehensive family-focused human service organization designed to meet the growing need for community based programs and services to this

rising population. The Family Resource Network is a state-wide organization with headquarters in East Windsor, NJ. The Family Resource Network affiliated organizations:
Autism Family Services of New Jersey
Caregivers of New Jersey
Epilepsy Services of New Jersey

Autism Family Services of New Jersey was created in order to better serve individuals and families affected by autism. With after school services such as arts and crafts, physical education, music therapy, respite opportunities and recreational programs, Autism Family Services of New Jersey strives to ensure a better quality of life for people with autism and their families. Caregivers of New Jersey’s efforts lie in updating caregivers on their rights and current legislation as well as educating the public on caregiving issues. The growing number of caregivers in the state has increased the demand for advocacy, education and information. Caregivers of New Jersey is proud to offer a centralized location for answers and information on all caregiving concerns. Epilepsy Services of New Jersey, an affiliate of the Epilepsy Alliance of America, provides necessary programs for families living with epilepsy, such as a residential summer camp, support groups, scholarships, and referral programs. ESNJ also institutes free of charge educational presentations about seizure recognition and first aid and police training.

Reminder! Live Q&A Tonight!

Adult services can bring up a lot of questions for families, especially when DDD, Medicaid, NJCAT, support coordination, and guardianship start showing up in the same conversation.

Join us for a 30-minute LIVE Q&A on Monday, June 1 at 6:30pm with Allison Wawrin, Trainer at Caregivers of New Jersey.

This session is for New Jersey families who are preparing for adult services or trying to understand where to start.

We’ll talk through questions families often ask, including:
- When should we apply for DDD services?
- What is the NJCAT, and how does it affect services?
- What is the difference between waiver programs?
- How does support coordination work?
- Where do Medicaid, SSI, and guardianship fit into the process?

Bring the questions you have been trying to sort through.
