The Family Recovery Network

The Family Recovery Network The Family Recovery Network was founded by The Family Resource Network to keep our families and stakeholders informed and prepared for natural disasters and public health emergencies.
(1)

The Family Recovery Network's home base is in East Windsor, New Jersey. The Recovery Network is a platform for reliable, vetted, and recent news concerning public health emergencies and natural disasters. The Recovery Network originated in 2012 during Superstorm Sandy in efforts to assist New Jerseyans in the long term recovery process.

Mission: We facilitate a unique and individualized planning process that helps you navigate all the necessary steps to having your needs met and to arrive at your personal “new normal”.

COVID-19 vaccines are on the way to hospitals and clinics across New Jersey. You can reserve your spot to get a vaccine now by pre-registering on the NJ Vaccine Scheduling System (NJVSS). The site will ask some questions to determine when you are eligible to receive the vaccination.

This will allow the general public to pre-register for eligibility, and to input their personal, contact, health insurance, and demographic information. It will also allow for individuals to schedule an appointment for those who are immediately eligible based on screening questions.

Filling out this form should take about 15 minutes, and the information you enter will be kept private with the State of New Jersey. Click the link below to reserve your spot.

Responding to the Needs of NJ Families

Super Storm Sandy was the deadliest and most destructive, as well as the strongest, hurricane of the 2012 Atlantic hurricane season. With a home based office in Brick, New Jersey at the time, The Family Resource Network personally witnessed the destruction and aftermath. As a result, we launched The Family Recovery Network in 2013 and have remained committed to rebuilding the lives of New Jersey’s citizen’s during the long term recovery process after a natural disaster or public health emergency.

Using a Person Centered team approach, our Disaster Case Managers provided guidance to individuals and families who were affected by a natural disaster. We facilitated a unique and individualized planning process that helped individuals navigate all the necessary steps to having their needs met and to arrive at their personal “new normal”.

The Family Recovery Network remains committed to supporting NJ families with the greatest needs in preparing for, responding to, and recovering from natural disasters and public health emergencies.

For more information on The Family Resource Network and our services and supports for people with disabilities, chronic conditions and their caregivers please visit www.familyresourcenetwork.org.
