On Sunday, 11/16 at approximately 2255 in the evening; EWVFC2 was dispatched with mutual aid partners for a possible structure fire. Engine 46 arrived on location to a two story middle of the row townhome with heavy fire showing from side Charlie; called for a Second Alarm, establishing Command and going in service with attack lines. Tower 57 and Ladder 41 arrived and set up for roof operations as E46 crew transitioned to interior operations. Chief 42 arrived on location and was passed Command from E46. As more units arrived, the Incident Command System was further built out filling Safety Officer (Chief 42), and Operations (Deputy 42). Command called the all hands . Additional attack lines were deployed off Engine 46 as the water supply was established due to extension to the Bravo and Delta exposure units. All visible fire was knocked down across the three units allowing for secondary searches and salvage and overhaul operations to commence. Responding mutual aid was systematically reduced with Command being passed back over to Engine 46 Officer while Investigation in cause and origin could be completed. Incident remains under investigation with EWPD, Mercer County Fire Marshal’s Office, and the East Windsor Fire Official. Engine 46 returned back to service at 0300.

EWVFC2 appreciates all additional mutual aid Company’s who assisted in this incident; Millstone (Squad 32), Robbinsville (Squad 40), Plainsboro (Squad 49), Monroe Fire District 3 (Ladder 23), Monroe Fire District 2 (Tower 57), Hightstown Volunteer Engine Company 1 (Rescue & Ladder 41) East Windsor Volunteer Co. 1 (Engine & Tower 42) West Windsor Volunteer Fire Company (Engine 43), and Cranbury Volunteer Fire Company (Tower 48),

This morning at 0320, EWVFC2 was dispatched for a tractor trailer fire on Lake Drive. Upon Chief 46 going in service, updates from Mercer County Central advised of multiple trucks affected with exposure issues. As a result, Chief 46 upgraded the assignment to a building in the first alarm bringing in multiple agencies from surrounding areas. Engine 46 arrived and deployed attack lines for suppression. Chief 41 and Chief 42 arrived investigating the interior, showing no extension of fire with substantial smoke condition. Ladder 41 set up their master stream and was fed a water supply from E46. Members from Engine 48 hand stretch nearly 400 feet of LDH. Additional crews arrived coming manpower pools while L41 went in service soaking the affected vehicles and exterior facade. Tower 57 crews assisted in gaining access to all tractor bays. Squad 40 provided tank water while crews set up water supply. Companies systematically were release as interior and exterior hot spots were suppressed. Due to diesel fuel leaks, DEP was notified, with hazmat mitigation performed by West Windsor Engine 45. Command was terminated and units went back to service at approximately 0730. The scene was turned over to EWPD, EWTBFP, and Mercer County Prosecutors Office for investigation.

Thanks to all mutual aid partners assisting this early morning. Other units on location - Tower 42, Ladder 23, Ladder 32, Engine 43.

Last night at approximately 10:30pm, EWVFC2 and its mutual aid partners were dispatched to the 100 block of Cedarville Road for a reported dwelling fire. Deputy 41 arrived on scene reporting heavy smoke showing, calling the "All-hands." Chief 46 arrived on location assuming Command with Engine 46 and Ladder 41 arriving simultaneously. Both units deployed lines making an interior attack. Chief 42 was assigned operations. Due to lack of hydrants to the area, tanker task force was dispatched on the initial. Assistant 82 was assigned Water Supply manager utilizing a rural hitch to Engine 46. The fire was suppressed on divisions 1 and 2 and with searches performed by Tower 42 being negative. Manpower pool crews were swapped out to perform overhaul and ventilate the structure. Assignment was systematically scaled back releasing mutual aid units where appropriate. Scene was turned over to EWPD and the EWT Fire Official's Office for investigation on cause and origin. Following investigation, Station 46 units were back in service at 0200.

EWVFC2 appreciates the assistance of their mutual aid partners on location and on standby during this incident: Engine 46-1, Rescue 42, Engine 41, Engine/Tanker 48, Tower/Tanker 57, Squad 40, Squad/Tanker 49, Tanker/Engine 82, Engine/Tanker 32, Jamesburg FD, and Manalapan FD.
