🐾 OWNER FOUND 🐾

Puck will be home very soon- Thank You!

After today’s rainstorm, this young, energetic pup—possibly an Australian Shepherd—decided to go on an adventure in search of the rainbow. Unfortunately, he lost his way and is now looking for help getting back home.

He was found in the area of Brook Street and Ewart Street in Eastchester.

If you recognize this dog or know who the owner may be, please contact the Eastchester Police Department at 914-961-3464.

Please share this post to help reunite this curious four-legged explorer with his family. 🌈

The Eastchester Police Department proudly announces the retirement of Police Officer John “Riggs” Rogliano following 22 years of dedicated and distinguished service to the Town of Eastchester.

Officer Rogliano joined the department in 2004 and quickly built a reputation as a hardworking, dependable officer who was always willing to step up when needed. Throughout his career, he served in numerous specialized assignments, including the Traffic Unit, Motorcycle Unit, Emergency Response Unit, Drug & Alcohol Task Force, Court Officer, and a trained hostage negotiator.

After 22 years of service, countless shifts, thousands of cups of coffee, and enough stories to keep us entertained for years, Riggs has officially walked out of Headquarters for the last time as a member of the Eastchester Police Department.

We extend our sincere congratulations on a well-earned retirement and thank him for his unwavering service to our community. We wish him good health, happiness, and many years of enjoying life without alarms, paperwork, or anyone asking him to cover an overtime shift.

Congratulations, John! You’ve earned it!

A sincere thank you to Mulino’s at Lake Isle for generously donating the food, and to the Greenvale PTA, Anne Hutchinson PTA, and the Eastchester PBA for helping serve the students and making the day such a success.

We would also like to extend our gratitude to the Lake Isle staff for graciously hosting this event year after year.

Congratulations to all of our 5th-grade students—we wish you the very best as you enter Middle School and begin the next chapter of your educational journey!

In 1962, President John F. Kennedy proclaimed May 15th as National Peace Officers Memorial Day. Established by a joint resolution of Congress, National Police Week honors the brave law enforcement officers who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty, as well as those who continue to serve and protect our communities each and every day.

This past Wednesday evening, the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund held its 38th Annual Candlelight Vigil on the National Mall in Washington, D.C.

This year, 363 names were added to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial, including 109 officers who were killed in the line of duty in 2025. An additional 254 officers who died in previous years were also recognized, many whose stories of sacrifice had long been lost to history. Their inclusion brings the total number of names engraved on the Memorial to 24,775.

As we remember the fallen, we honor their courage, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment to service. May their legacy never be forgotten, and may we continue to stand together in support of those who wear the badge today.

Well, folks — he did it!

Congratulations to Officer Ghiozzi on safely completing his four-day “Road to Hope” journey to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial in Washington, D.C., as part of Law Enforcement United NY Honor 37.

Their mission, “Honor the Fallen, Remember the Survivors,” pays tribute to the service and sacrifice of all law enforcement officers who died in the line of duty while supporting the survivors they left behind — including our own Police Officer Michael R. Frey #27. Even after completing a grueling 300-mile ride, the group’s first priority upon arriving at the memorial is always to meet with the survivors.

Congratulations as well to everyone who rode alongside him, honoring and remembering our fallen officers and carrying their memories through every mile of the journey.
