On Saturday, November 7th, The Page Turners Book Club welcomes author Sharon Healy-Yang to our book discussion at 1pm to discuss her book SURPRISE! about mystery writer Vicki Westlake. In this first book of Sharon's newest series, Vicki can’t resist the challenge to spend the night in an eerie isolated house without cracking up. Surprises both dangerous and romantic put her in deadly jeopardy, with those around her all seeming to have motive to murder. Feel free to join us! We have a couple of copies of SURPRISE! - a quick read, as well as Sharon's Jessica Minton series. Refreshments will be served.

We are just one week away from our beloved Adopt-A-Book event. Refreshments will be served.

📚Adopt-A-Book is an opportunity for our patrons to purchase books from a curated selection of brand new titles set out for adoption at 1/2 of our cost. In return, we place a special bookplate inside of each book with a personalized dedication of one's choosing. Your purchase is a gift that will last for years to come.

📚We also like to take this moment each year to recognize those patrons and volunteers who have gone out of their way to assist us in so many different ways over the course of the year by dedicating special books to them.

Please join us. If you cannot make it, books will be available until they are adopted! Proceeds from this annual fundraiser go directly to the purchase of MORE books to add to our growing collection.

We’re elated to say that all our library dreams came true…our very own porch goose was gifted to the library by a dear patron of ours.

What is a porch goose do you ask?
A sweet, welcoming fixture that will be greeting our guests!

Here she is pictured wearing an adorable witch costume to celebrate Halloween.
Because well yes, you can order any costume you can imagine for our new, adorable mascot all-year round.

Please comment below with a book related character so this library goose has a name!

On Tuesday morning, we kicked off our 3rd year of our Homeschool STEAM Hour with a class on nature's amazing little structural engineers, and how spiders, in particular - orb weavers, build their webs. After the children created templates, they pushed up their sleeves and got messy soaking yarn in white glue to build their own spider webs. We loved watching the process and level of engagement. Thank you to the parents for assisting us as needed.🫶 Homeschooling is a way of life for those who choose this path. It is a time of learning and exploration for all!

Our popular Homeschool STEAM Hour takes place on the first Tuesday of each month. It runs from October until May. The final class is our Science Fair where families may showcase a project of their choosing. Registration is a must each month as we like to limit the class size to 12. Please contact the library if you would like to learn more.
