This morning, Town Clerk, Linda Sassi officially swore in our new Town Manager, Richard Bienvenue, and Assistant Town Manager, Shana Brogan. Please join us in welcoming Richard and Shana to their new roles. We are excited for this next chapter and look forward to their leadership and service to the Eastham community.

🌊 Beach & Pond Water Quality Update - June 11th 🌊

We're pleased to report that the latest water quality testing results are favorable at all Town beaches and ponds.

To help keep our community informed throughout the summer, water quality results will be posted every Thursday. Be sure to check back each week before heading out to enjoy the water.

Please join us in congratulating our HR Director, Laurie Barr on a significant accomplishment!

Last night, Laurie graduated from Suffolk University’s Certificate in Local Government & Leadership Management Program. Over the course of 25 weeks, she balanced the demands of her role with a rigorous professional development program focused on the challenges and opportunities of local government leadership.

Continuing education is essential to building a strong local government, and we are proud to support opportunities that help our staff grow their knowledge and skills in service to the community.

We are proud of Laurie for investing her time and energy to reach this milestone and are grateful for her efforts on Eastham’s behalf. Congratulations, Laurie!!

The Eastham Police Department will be holding a Car Seat Checkpoint Event at the Eastham United Methodist Church (3200 State Highway) on Friday June 12 from 8am-12pm.
Sergeant Joshua Adams and Officer Andi Murphy, both certified car seat technicians, will be present to check the installation of existing child seats in your vehicle, donating new car seats to families in need, and will be available to answer any child restraint system questions that parents and caregivers have.
This is free of charge and open to the public. So please stop by the Eastham United Methodist Church on June 12 to have a safety check done on your child’s car seat. Let’s all make sure that our children are safe and secure when riding in our vehicles!!

Friendly reminder that the Nauset Efficiency & Regionalization public presentation for Eastham is tonight at 6pm. We hope to see you there.

The study includes analysis of school buildings, enrollment trends, and programming, along with input from educators, staff, and community members. It presents key findings and four potential regionalization scenarios to help inform future discussion about how schools and resources could be organized.

📣 Nauset Public Schools Study – Community Presentations

Over the past year, the towns of Brewster, Orleans, Eastham, and Wellfleet have been working with Nauset Public Schools on a district-wide study focused on how to sustain strong elementary and middle schools in the face of declining enrollment, aging facilities, and rising costs.

The study includes analysis of school buildings, enrollment trends, and programming, along with input from educators, staff, and community members. It presents key findings and four potential regionalization scenarios to help inform future discussion about how schools and resources could be organized.

This is a planning and information study only, it does not make decisions or recommendations, and any changes would go through local town and school committee processes. There are no immediate impacts to schools or programs.

Today, our staff had the opportunity to celebrate Town Manager Jacqui Beebe and recognize her remarkable 30 years of public service, including 12 years dedicated to the Town of Eastham.

Jacqui's leadership, commitment, and dedication have made a lasting impact on our community and organization. While we are excited for her next chapter, she will be greatly missed by colleagues, residents, and all those who have had the privilege of working with her.

Please join us in thanking Jacqui for her years of service and wishing her all the best in the future. Her last day with the Town of Eastham will be June 10.

As we kick off another summer season, the Town will once again be conducting weekly water quality testing at all town bay beaches and freshwater ponds to help ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for residents and visitors.

We're pleased to report that the latest testing results are favorable at all locations.

We are just under a month away from celebrating Town Manager Jacqui Beebe as she prepares for her retirement, effective June 11th, marking the conclusion of an extraordinary 28-year career in public service, including 12 years with the Town of Eastham and 10 years as Town Manager.

The Town invites residents, colleagues, and friends to a drop in event on June 2nd from 10am-12pm at the Eastham Public Library. The event will provide an opportunity for anyone to say goodbye and wish Jacqui well.

Throughout her tenure, Jacqui has played a vital role in guiding the Town through growth, planning, and community development. Her leadership has helped strengthen town operations and foster collaboration across departments and with residents.
