Nauset Light Preservation Society Nauset Light Preservation Society provides public tours of the light during the months May to October. Nauset Light is an active place.

We are a nonprofit (501 c3) organization and all proceeds to go maintenance of the lighthouse, oil house and 1875 keeper's house. We get many visitors coming around the grounds even when we are not giving tours. We do tours on Sundays May through October and also Tuesdays and Wednesdays during July and August. Our activity all depends on volunteer availability - so if you want to become a voluntee

We often have maintenance projects in progress to keep the lighthouse in good operational condition and to keep it looking like. This page will show these various activities in pictures and text so we will have an active history of the light available. Our 2026 tour season has begun!

We are excited to welcome visitors, members, and supporters back to the lighthouse. The Nauset Light Preservation Society is a non-profit organization powered entirely by volunteers — with no paid staff. Our dedicated volunteers work hard year-round to help preserve and protect this special landmark for future generations.

Please consider becoming a member and helping us care for the lighthouse. We are also always looking for volunteers! Tour guides are just one of many opportunities available. If you have skills, talents, or simply a desire to help, we would love to hear from you. Reach out to learn more about how you can become part of our amazing volunteer community.

American Lighthouse Foundation & Nauset Light Preservation Society board member Jared Fulcher explains how a CG-2P lampchanger, which once served inside Nauset's DCB-224 rotating beacon, to Kate Dellis, producer for The Culture Show on GBH News, Boston.

The American Lighthouse Foundation would like to welcome David Pomerantz as the newest member of our organization's board of directors.

David has been a long-time "keeper" at ALF's Race Point Lighthouse and serves on ALF's Storm & Mitigation Response Team. His diverse expertise and dedication to the mission makes David Pomerantz a wonderful addition to ALF's board of directors.
