We had a productive visit to DC this week with the Long Island Sound Partnership! Did you know that the health of Long Island Sound depends on the water quality of the Connecticut River? 70% of the freshwater entering Long Island Sound comes from New England's longest river.

We talked with the delegation about the connection between Long Island Sound and the Connecticut River and the importance of the upper watershed, NH, VT and MA, to the economic and ecological health of our entire watershed.

Thank you Rep. Tom Suozzi, Congressman Joe Courtney, Rep. George Latimer, Congressman Nick LaLota , Senator Chris Murphy for your support of this important work.
