Eastland County, in collaboration with local cities and fire departments, is seeking public input on the first-ever Eastland County Community Wildfire Protection Plan (CWPP)

A CWPP helps communities become more resilient to wildfires by documenting local risks,assessing community capabilities, and identifying projects to implement over the next 5-10 years.

Your feedback will help ensure that wildfire risks have been accurately identified and that the actions included in the plan reflect the current needs of Eastland County residents.

Our mission is to protect lives and property, provide emergency services, and serve the citizens of Eastland with fairness and respect—regardless of politics or personal beliefs.

As election season continues, we encourage everyone to participate in the democratic process by becoming informed, exercising your right to vote, and treating one another with respect.

We would like to thank everyone at Energy Transfer and all those that make these partnerships possible. Thank you for the generous support for Eastland and the entire County.

Lisa Coleman, Avery Krachmer, and Stephen Shoerry with Energy Transfer presented a $10,000 donation to Eastland County that will be dispersed to the local fire departments. I want to thank Energy Transfer for their kind donation and their support of our local fire departments.

📢 Outdoor Warning Siren Test Notice

The Eastland Fire Department will be conducting a routine test of the Outdoor Warning Siren System on August 5, 2026 at 12PM.

During this scheduled test, residents may hear the outdoor warning sirens sound for a short period. This is only a test, and no action is required.

Routine testing helps ensure our warning system is operating properly and ready to alert the community during emergencies.

We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we work to keep our community safe.
