We would like to thank Dubois Church for inviting us to be part of Family Day for children with disabilities. We truly enjoyed spending time with all of the kids, showing them the fire truck, and being part of such a special event.
The food, fun activities, and smiles throughout the day made it an amazing experience for everyone involved. We are grateful for the opportunity to support such a wonderful community event!!🤍

For Immediate Release:
Be Fire Wise

The Dodge County Fire Department is asking everyone to be “Fire Wise”. It's a fact, the drought is up and the rain fall down. Most of Dodge County is in an extreme drought as of this week and large fires are burning in our state. Here are a few tips for you to help your fire department going forward.

• Avoid burning any natural debris or vegetation during these conditions

• Remember, burning of household garbage and lumber is against the law

• Keep the grass around your house mowed and bushes trimmed to help reduce fuel for fires.

• Keep a clean, defensible space of at least 30 feet around all buildings and major items in your yard.

• Visit www.gatrees.org for more information from or Georgia Forestry Commission or to see if permits are being issued. You can also call 1-800GATREES for information on available permits.

Please keep our community safe and in the words of the great Smokey the Bear “Only
you can prevent forest fires”.
