ATTENTION EASTON AND P'BURG FOOTBALL FANS!

It's more than just a game. This year, we're taking the rivalry beyond the field!

As we gear up for Rinks, Races, & Rivalries: Rivalry on the River, we're putting a new spin on the Easton–Phillipsburg rivalry, and this time, everyone has a chance to help their team win!

Instead of paid admission, we're asking attendees to bring canned goods to support the ProJeCt of Easton Food Pantry at St. John's Lutheran Church!

But what's a rivalry without a little friendly competition?

We're dividing donations into two teams: Easton vs. P'burg!

When you arrive, donate your canned goods in support of your favorite school. The team that collects the most canned goods will earn some serious bragging rights AND a special prize!

The winning school will have its jerseys proudly displayed in the Sigal Museum's front window following the panel, where they'll remain until after the Thanksgiving Day game!

Join us as we celebrate the history, traditions, and unforgettable moments of this legendary rivalry, all while coming together to support our local community.

📅 Thursday, November 5 | 6:00 PM
📍 Sigal Museum, Easton
🎟️ Admission: Canned goods for the food pantry!

Whether you bleed red and white or garnet and gray, this is one competition where our entire community wins!

So, who's going to show up and show out? Easton or P'burg? RSVP below, bring your donations, represent your team, and help us make a difference!

This Day in History: A spy in Washington’s ranks?

On October 5, 1775, General George Washington informed Continental Congress President John Hancock of a troubling discovery: Dr. Benjamin Church, the surgeon general of the Continental Army, had been accused of secretly communicating with the British.

A coded letter connected to Church had been intercepted and eventually made its way to Washington. Church was arrested, and despite maintaining his innocence, was convicted of treason after a court-martial. The discovery revealed just how complicated questions of loyalty could be during the early months of the American Revolution.

The Revolution wasn’t only fought on battlefields. Espionage, coded messages, rumors, and divided loyalties created an atmosphere where knowing whom to trust could be a challenge of its own.

And those fears weren’t limited to Boston. Communities like Easton also had to navigate the uncertainty and divided loyalties of the Revolutionary era.

Here in Northampton County, the Revolutionary era left its mark as well. Through the collections, historic sites, and stories preserved by NCHGS, we can continue uncovering how national events shaped the lives of people right here in our own community.

Stop by the Sigal Museum and discover the Revolutionary history that happened closer to home than you might think!

This International Coffee Day, we’re brewing up a story from Easton’s past with a darker twist...

For many of us, coffee is simply part of the morning routine, but in Easton, even a cup of coffee can lead you down an unexpected path into local history.

Enter Allen Laros, a name connected to both coffee and one of the more unsettling stories from Easton’s past. His story reminds us that history can be found in some surprising places, and sometimes, those stories are a little eerie.

Want to hear the full tale of Allen Laros and discover more of the strange, chilling, and unexpected stories hidden throughout downtown Easton? Join us for an Eerie Easton Walking Tour this spooky season!

Because around here, you never know what history might be lurking around the corner... or behind your next cup of coffee.

Grab your tickets for Eerie Easton at the link below and discover a different side of the city’s history.
