Invasive Plant Management Discussion and Survey

Join the Conservation Commission at New Pond (581 Foundry St) on Monday, September 14, 2026 at 6:00pm for an informal discussion on treatment options to control invasive plants.

Excessive invasive plant growth from Variable Water Milfoil and Fanwort are outcompeting our native flora and inhibiting recreational opportunities. The Conservation Commission is seeking public input regarding the available treatment options.

On Monday night, the Select Board thanked Bristol County District Attorney Thomas Quinn for his years of service to Easton and the entire county as he prepares to finish his final term as DA.

DA Quinn has been a collaborative partner with the Town, especially with the Easton Police Department, and his leadership has helped bring justice to numerous cases over the years. He has served as Bristol County DA since 2015 and will be ending his term in the next couple of months.

We thank DA Quinn for his service to Easton and wish him all the best!

The Conservation Commission would like to thank Herb Everett and family for their repairs/reconstruction of the bridge behind Wheaton Farm Barn on Bay Rd. The trail was also maintained. Thank you for your dedication to Easton’s open spaces!

Today 9/1 is the State Primary Election. As of 7PM we have had 4252 ballots cast in todays election. 2494 early voted ballots returned in advance of election day and an additional 193 returned today have also been deposited. Polls are open until 8PM tonight. Next post will be unofficial results once they are ready.
