We were delighted to welcome students from LVCC to the newly reimagined 1753 Bachmann Publick House! During their visit, students explored what daily life was like in colonial Easton through our interactive exhibits, historic spaces, and hands-on experiences.

We're proud to introduce Unheard: The American Revolution – Stories of Ordinary People in Extraordinary Times, a new graphic novel anthology from NCHGS. Each story reveals how ordinary people in the Lehigh Valley navigated fear, loyalty, resistance, and survival during a time of uncertainty, making the 1753 Bachmann Publick House a living stage for extraordinary moments in American history.

Created in collaboration with award-winning cartoonist Jonathan Hill, Unheard tells the stories of ordinary individuals—travelers, tradespeople, tavern workers, families, and neighbors—whose lives were forever shaped by an extraordinary moment in history. Through compelling artwork and historically inspired storytelling, the graphic novel offers a fresh perspective on the American Revolution and invites readers to consider history through the eyes of those who experienced it firsthand.
