Congratulations to firefighters Tyler Gurski, Joe Rosado, Sylvia Kimelmen, Daniel Riveria, Isaiah Hodge and Jet Hughs (not pictured) on receiving their Black 25 Shield from Chief Vinci. This means they have completed their probationary period by successfully demonstrating their knowledge and skills as interior structural firefighters.

🚒🔥 Training Update from Forks Township Fire Department! 🔥🚒

Last night, on Monday, July 27, 2026, our dedicated team had the incredible opportunity to train on the Holmatro OmniShore system. This state-of-the-art equipment is designed to enhance our rescue capabilities, allowing us to respond more effectively in critical situations.

During the training session, we focused on familiarizing ourselves with the various features of the OmniShore system, including its versatility in handling different types of rescues. The hands-on experience was invaluable, and it’s always inspiring to see our firefighters come together to sharpen their skills and learn new techniques.

A heartfelt thank you to all the members who participated and contributed their time and expertise to this training. Continuous learning is vital in our line of work, and we are committed to ensuring we’re always prepared to serve our community to the best of our abilities.

We appreciate the support from the community and encourage everyone to stay safe and vigilant. Together, we can ensure Forks Township remains a safe place for all! 💪👨‍🚒👩‍🚒

**Public Notice**

Smoke and haze from the Canadian wildfires are currently impacting the Lehigh Valley region. As a result, fire departments throughout the area are responding to numerous reports of smoke that are often attributable to these environmental conditions.

Residents are reminded to call 911 only in the event of an actual emergency, including:

* Visible flames
* Heavy smoke originating from a specific structure or area
* An immediate threat to life or property

Your cooperation helps ensure that emergency personnel and resources remain available to respond promptly to genuine emergencies.
