This week was fire prevention week, we got to go around our township to the pre schoolers, and both elementary schools and teach them the importance of fire safety, and answering all questions that the kids had. We had a great time this week showing our trucks and the variety of equipment we use. We want to thank, ready set go, forks education and child center ymca of forks, Forks Lutheran pre school, Forks elementary, and Shawnee elementary for having us!!

This week is fire prevention week. This years topic is Safe Charging.

“Charge into Fire Safety, Safe Charging Is a Superpower”
Your lithium-ion batteries are one bad decision away from becoming a tiny dragon that lives in your house and hates you.
STOP treating them like emotional support devices.
🚨 Use the charger that actually came with the thing. That random $3 cable from the gas station is not “vintage aesthetic,” it’s a cry for help.
🚨 Charge on a HARD surface. Your bed is not a charging station. Your couch is not a charging station. Your cat is DEFINITELY not a charging station.
🚨 When it’s full, UNPLUG IT. Your phone does not need to stay plugged in all night like it’s afraid of the dark.
🚨 E-bikes, scooters, and power tools? Charge those chaotic little monsters OUTSIDE. Preferably far from the only door you’ll need when things go sideways.
🚨 If your device starts swelling like it’s about to confess its crimes, gets hotter than your last situationship, smells like burnt regret, or starts making noises that sound like a tiny spaceship landing… THAT’S NOT A FEATURE. Put it down. Walk away. Call the fire department later if necessary.
Be the main character who doesn’t set their own house on fire.
Charge like a responsible adult. Stay un-roasted.
