I have been waiting until everything was under control and I am here to say the landfill fire is 99.9% out and the spoil pile is totally cover with around 3 ft of dirt.
I have been on scene every day since the fire.
The owner of the landfill has done everything we ask him to do.
They dug out all the hot spots and back filled with dirt.
They covered the spoil piles with dirt to help with controlling a fire if we’re to have another one. Which we haven’t since we’ve been on scene.
I want to thank Shawn the owner for doing the right thing and letting us take control and get this taken care of for him.
I would like to thank John Larkin, Linaweaver construction and all the people who help get this done.
