Pa Chapter of APA Recognizes Easton’s Centre Square as a 2026 Great Place in Pennsylvania!
PA Chapter of the American Planning Association is proud to announce the designation of Centre Square in the city of Easton, Northampton County, as a 2026 Great Public Space in Pennsylvania. Centre Square consists of two public plazas, a park, the Crayola Experience, and a diverse array of businesses and restaurants. It has been the “heart” of Easton since the mid-1700’s and is now the centerpiece of the City’s Downtown Historic and Main Street Districts. In 1776, it was one of three places where the Declaration of Independence was read aloud, and the preamble is embedded in stone encircling the park center.
