The June meeting of the Easton Historic District Commission takes place this evening - Monday 6/8 - at 5 pm in Council Chambers on the third floor of Easton City Hall downtown. It is open to the public to attend.
Starting this month, HDC meetings will now be live streamed on the city's YouTube channel.

Happening tomorrow, Sunday, June 7: Easton Pride! A free community event. It kicks off with a flag raising in Centre Square at 2:30 PM, followed by a foot parade to Riverside Park led by the Big Easy Easton Brass Band. The festival in the park takes place from 4 to 8 PM.

This week’s Easton Redevelopment Authority spotlight shines on a South Side family home whose front porch was completely revitalized by High Point Select Services, featuring a new mahogany floor, vinyl railings, and structural repairs. The specific project upgrades include:

- Clean Start: A full power wash of the street-facing facade and removal of old plastic lattice on the perimeter.
- Safer Entry: Demolition of the old, crumbled cement, pouring of a new concrete landing, and the repair/reinforcement of the porch columns.
- Prettier Porch: Installation of new mahogany tongue-and-groove flooring, modern vinyl porch railings, a new mailbox, and a new modern light.

Please note: This project was made possible by one of the 122 ARPA-funded grants awarded in 2023. The Redevelopment Authority Residential Façade Program is currently closed to new applications.
