Rooted in Easton's Past, Growing a Greener Future 💚

In 1891, Oliver Ames II hired Frederick Law Olmsted to design an estate. This property would be lovingly known as Sheep Pasture for its rolling hills and meadows.
Following Oliver's passing, the state of the mansion declined, and it was removed after the passing of his wife, Elise, in 1946.

Oliver and Elise's daughter, Elise Ames Parker, managed the property until 1979. She then gifted the land to the Natural Resources Trust of Easton to protect and preserve the land and provide educational experiences to the community.

Today, you can still see the foundation where the mansion once sat.

Fronted by vocalist/piano player, Chris Brunelle, and vocalist Shannon Mountford, this trio puts their own twist on Billy Joel and Elton John's most iconic hits. Fans in attendance at a Billy and the Jets concert should come prepared with their dancing shoes and warmed up voices. Almost every song organically encourages audience participation with songs such as Piano Man, Only the Good Die Young, Tiny Dancer and I'm Still Standing to name a few.

Bring a blanket or chair, a picnic, and your friends & neighbors! These shows are fun for all ages, and all shows are free and open to all.

This program is funded by The Friends of the Ames Free Library.
