This Memorial Day, the SGI Volunteer Fire Department pauses to honor and remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country.

Their sacrifice secured the freedoms we enjoy every day, and their courage will never be forgotten. As we gather with family and friends this weekend, we remember those who made that privilege possible.

Today, we remember the fallen.
We honor their legacy.
And we remain forever grateful.

The SGI Volunteer Fire Department would like to recognize and thank our partners at Franklin County EMS during National EMS Week.

Day and night, their crews answer the call with professionalism, compassion, and dedication to the people of Franklin County. Whether responding alongside us on emergencies or providing critical patient care when it matters most, their commitment to this community does not go unnoticed.

Every year, the SGI Quilters create and raffle off a quilt, with the proceeds benefiting the St. George Island Volunteer Fire Department. This year was another success, as they presented Cheif Timbert with a check for $2600!!!

We thank them, and hope you appreciate their relentless support of the SGI VFD! It is only with the support of the community that we are able to execute our mission of safekeeping the people and property of St George Island and Greater Franklin County.
