The Franklin County Public Libraries (Eastpoint and Carrabelle) gets by with a LOT of help from our Friends!

Established in 1992, the Friends of the Franklin County Public Libraries have raised thousands of dollars over the years. These funds helped build the Eastpoint Library and provides ongoing support for programming and Summer Reading, beautifications projects, and much more.

But money isn’t the only thing the Friends contribute—last year, many members dedicated their time supporting programs and fundraising events, like the Soup, Bread, and Book Sales.

October 18-24, 2026, is the 21st annual National Friends of Libraries Week, and it’s the perfect opportunity to give our Friends a big shout out for all they do to make a positive impact on us every single day.

We know the Friends are always looking for new members and volunteers. Joining is just a click away--visit www.friendsfcpl.com to join, donate, or sign up to volunteer.

Sincerely,

Whitney Roundtree, Director
