Orcas Senior Center will be closed Monday, September 7 in observance of Labor Day.

We’re back Tuesday with a full week of fun, connection, learning, and community! Highlights include:

🍽️ Wednesday, Sept. 9: In-person lunch, Portraits in Pencil by Mic Stevens, and a Conversation About Alzheimer’s with Dr. Robert Rubey after lunch.

🥾 Thursday, Sept. 10: Guided walk at Crescent Beach Preserve with the Land Bank at 1:30 p.m.

♻️ Friday, Sept. 11: Behind-the-scenes tour of the Orcas Exchange & Recycling Center at 9:30 a.m.

DOL2Go Coming to Orcas Island! 🚗

Need to renew or get a Washington driver license or ID? The Washington State Department of Licensing’s mobile service, DOL2Go, will be at Orcas Senior Center on Thursday, August 27, from 10 a.m.–3 p.m.

📄 Check the document requirements at dol.wa.gov before you come.

Movement Instructors Wanted! 🧘‍♀️

Orcas Senior Center is looking for movement instructors to offer classes such as:

🧘 Yoga & Chair Yoga
🌿 Tai Chi
⚖️ Balance & Stability
💪 Other gentle movement or fitness classes

We can offer our large space at no cost and are open to classes during the day or in the evening.

Classes would be open to the entire community, so they don’t have to be designed exclusively for seniors. That said, we’d especially love offerings that help our older adults stay active, strong, and moving!
